Free To Choose was also a book written by Milton and Rose Friedman and published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. It was the best selling non-fiction book of 1980. The book and TV series have been translated into over 2 dozen languages.

The album itself peaked at #47 and spent 30 weeks on Billboard's main album chart, eventually selling close to 350,000 copies. It is currently out of print.
