Prodigious pianist Harold López-Nussa has come full circle. With numerous acclaimed recordings, and acknowledged as a seasoned performer on international stages, he returns home and records El Viaje in Havana, Cuba, offering musical insights on the world through his piano. Continuing with his established trio format, which includes his brother Ruy Adrián López-Nussa on drums and Senegalese bassist Alune Wade, he improvises upon vast classical influences while adhering to his Cuban roots, concocting an exceptional style of global jazz.

Don't pay attention to the title, which is absolutely nonsensical and bewildering – it suggests that This Is Me…Then is a compilation, which it isn't, and it also suggests that this has some sort of theme, which it doesn't – and concentrate on the music, which is the strongest, sultriest, best music Jennifer Lopez (who has abandoned the moniker J-Lo) has recorded for any of her three albums. This, of course, doesn't mean that it's a radical musical departure, though there are differences here – the glitzy dance-pop has been phased out, there's a stronger urban soul vibe, particularly on the lush surfaces and sexy grooves.
‘The Coyote that Spoke in Tongues’ is a project that Garcia fans will really appreciate. What Garcia & Co. have created with this record is excellent; it’s full of life and experience, tales to tell, and scars to show. It invites the listener to hitch a ride with them and listen to those stories as they drive on through the lonely, arid desert.
Featuring intimate documentary footage and interviews with Lopez and her closest friends, as well as spectacular in-concert renditions of many of her biggest hits, the docu-concert goes behind the scenes of the superstar’s first world tour…
