Their Greatest Hits: The Record is the career retrospective greatest hits album by the Bee Gees, released on UTV Records and Polydor in November 2001 as HDCD. The album includes 40 tracks spanning over 35 years of music. Four of the songs were new recordings of classic Gibb compositions originally recorded by other artists, including "Emotion" (Samantha Sang), "Heartbreaker" (Dionne Warwick), "Islands in the Stream" (Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton), and "Immortality" (Celine Dion). It also features the Barry Gibb duet with Barbra Streisand, "Guilty", which originally appeared on Streisand's 1980 album of the same name. It is currently out of print and has been supplanted by another compilation, The Ultimate Bee Gees.

This mid-'80s anthology was a good sampler covering seminal material from the vocal group that championed "blow" harmony. The Moonglows' finest tracks – among them "Sincerely," "The Ten Commandments of Love," and "Twelve Months of the Year" – featured brilliant vocals from Bobby Lester or Harvey Fuqua. The sound was acceptable, and the annotation was brief but thorough.

The problem with the recent spate of "number one" collections from the pop elite – the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and now the Bee Gees – is that they're consistently marketed as "greatest-hits" collections. The conceptual weight of "number one" singles for the average listener is about as heavy as the slabs of wax they came out on, and compiling an entire record around them only shines the spotlight on the tracks that suffered the cut…

Functioning as something of a replacement for the 2001 collection Their Greatest Hits: The Record, The Ultimate Bee Gees covers much of the same ground as that double-disc set, albeit in not quite so linear a fashion. The Record marched through its 40 tracks chronologically, opening with the stately baroque Beatlesque pop of the '60s and then winding through the '70s, whereas this opens with the bright, fabulous blast of "You Should Be Dancing" and remains in their late-'70s heyday for a while before fast-forwarding to such latter-day adult contemporary hits as "One."…

This 2017 set pairs the two greatest-hits compilations from Eagles: 1976's mega-blockbuster Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 and 1982's Greatest Hits, Vol. 2. Nothing new has been added to the set, there's no new remastering, so this is just an easy way to acquire both of these compilations. While that's handy enough, curious consumers should also check out 2003's The Very Best of the Eagles, which also runs two discs but has far more tracks and includes material from 1994's reunion Hell Freezes Over along with a new studio track. It provides slightly more bang for the buck.

One of the maddening aspects of the Andrews Sisters' CD catalog is that there is no way to get a single cohesive body of discs that encompasses all of their best work, or even the best of their extant work. At 60 songs, this three-CD set is the most comprehensive set ever issued on the trio, with 42 of their hits from Decca Records, including every song that reached the number one and number two spots. It offers 14 more songs than appear on MCA's double-CD Their All-Time Greatest Hits, but this set is missing 18 of the group's Top Ten singles, and doesn't even contain everything that's on MCA's double-CD collection; among those tracks not present here are "Well All Right (Tonight's the Night)," "Aurora," "Ti-Pi-Tin," "Shortnin' Bread," "Tico Tico," and "Jealous" (and one should note that even the MCA double-CD doesn't have several choice songs that appear on the same label's separate 50th anniversary volumes).

End of Part One: Their Greatest Hits is a compilation album by Wet Wet Wet. It was released on 8 November 1993. The final two tracks - "Shed a Tear" and "Cold Cold Heart" - were recorded by Nile Rodgers at The Hit Factory in New York City especially for the album, and were released as the album's singles. The album reached #4 in UK chart.
