Vertigo Resurrected #1

Vertigo Resurrected #1
CBR | Vertigo (DC) | Released Oct 20 2010 | 96 Pages (No Ads) | 54.50 MB

I feel I just have to write an intro to this comic book, so here goes... Earlier this year (2010) it was announced that Vertigo would become a strictly creator-owned imprint (that means copyrights still reside in, and subsists with, the writers and artists, not with DC) with all titles that originated in the DC Universe, with the exception of flagship title , returning to the DC imprint. This includes characters related to , and . This had already been done with , and and soon many others will follow. Vertigo Resurrected is the herald issue for the new Vertigo, and what an issue it is! Warren Ellis' "Shoot" alone is worth the download for me; and then there are the 8 other stories by some of the best comic book writers and artists in the industry today, in 96 pages of pure enjoyment. If there's one comic book I would buy (if I could get my hands on it) this very moment, this one is it. Vertigo Resurrected #1 could get an Eisner. Everybody's thumbs up!

was a short-lived magazine comprised entirely of reprinted material (in color) from other Warren publications. Magazines published by Warren primarily cover the science-fiction and fantasy-horror genres and include , and . Comix International was launched in 1974 and was published annually, with two releases (issues #3 & #4) in 1976, but stopped publication in 1977 after only five issues. These series also serves as a showcase of artist Richard Corben's prodigious talent and skill as he did most of the artwork. Of course we all know him for his illustrated fantasy stories in .
