The CHICAGO QUADIO collection will be available on June 17. Housed in a rigid two-piece box, nine albums are presented in sleeves that replicate the original release down to the last detail, including mini posters, and the iron-on that came with Chicago VIII. To ensure optimal sound quality, Rhino has remastered each album in both its original quadrophonic and stereo mix on each disc, and so that the quadrophonic mix will play on surround sound systems.
Tales of Mystery and Imagination is an extremely mesmerizing aural journey through some of Edgar Allan Poe's most renowned works. With the use of synthesizers, drums, guitar, and even a glockenspiel, Parsons' shivering effects make way for an eerie excursion into Poe's well-known classics. On the album's 1987 remix, the instrumental "Dream Within a Dream" has Orson Welles narrating in front of this wispy collaboration of guitars and keyboards (Welles also narrates "Fall of the House of Usher: Prelude")…

"In Super Overdrive Live" was filmed at the Congress Theater, Chicago for the US TV series Soundstage and originally broadcast in America in July 2009. The show sees Billy Idol, with trademark sneer and peroxide hair very much to the fore, reunited with guitarist Steve Stevens, who played on (& sometimes co-wrote) all his eighties songs. The track list runs from early Generation X hits, through his classic solo singles and up to tracks from his most recent album "The Devil's Playground". Idol is a fantastic live performer who oozes onstage charisma and the audience rocks along to every minute of this mesmerizing concert.

… Bruce, truth be told, is not the greatest singer in the world, and his hoarseness does very occasionally get gobbled up in the mass of sound the band is putting out, but that's about the only complaint I have with this concert. Otherwise we get a remarkably clean and clear reproduction of the music with no obtrusive audience noise. Separation is excellent, but it's the remarkable fidelity that will impress most right off the bat. Turn this one up to 12–11 won't be quite enough.
