Legend is a greatest hits collection of Bob Marley & The Wailers songs, released by Island Records on May 8, 1984. It is the best selling reggae album of all time (13.5 million platinum in the United States), with sales of 25 million copies. An entry in the Universal Music Entertainment (UME) Deluxe Sound+Vision series of CD/DVD combos, this repackaging unites two releases that were themselves reissues when they first appeared in 2002 and 2003: a two-CD "Deluxe Edition" of the compilation Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers, and a DVD reissue of the 52-and-1/2-minute home video of the same name, which added as a bonus the 85-minute documentary Time Will Tell.

Although most people are very familiar with Bob Marley's Island Records years and his attendant international superstardom, the truth is that Marley's long pre-Island career releasing singles with the Wailers on small Jamaican labels may well be ultimately more fascinating.

n assembling Bob Marley & the Wailers' British chart singles for the 1984 compilation Legend, Island Records created what turned out to be a perennial seller, but also an album that misrepresented the range of Marley's work, downplaying its political aspect in favor of danceability and romantic sentiments. Of course, what made Marley such a powerful figure internationally was his message about the uprising of the oppressed, but you wouldn't know that from Legend.

The concert contained on this CD took place at The Santa Barbara County Bowl in the autumn of 1979, when Bob was touring in support of his militant Survival album. And the resulting film is an epochal record of a Bob Marley performance; one that stands up as being easily an equal of the better known Live at the Rainbow show filmed on the Exodus tour in 1977. For all intents and purposes, the Survival tour had kicked off on September 24 1979, when Bob and the Wailers had played a benefit concert for Rasta children in the National Heroes Arena in Kingston: 1979 was the United Nations’ International Year of the Child. At that ‘Heroes’ Park’ show, Bob introduced the audience to a pair of new songs from the imminent Survival album - “Ambush in the Night,” the story of the assassination attempt on his life by gunmen on December 3 1976, and “Zimbabwe,” in which he expressed his militant support of the freedom movement in the country still known as Rhodesia.

MADNESS KEEP MOVING (2010 issue UK 2-CD album set - Originally released in 1984, Union Square Musics 30th Anniversary Madness reissue campaign continues with Keep Moving, the bands fifth and possibly most mature album. Its release, in 1984, was tinged with sadness, as it would be the bands last offering with the original line-up until 1999's Wonderful comeback. That said, the album and the songs on it did not suffer and some consider Keep Moving to be Madness's most sophisticated album, dealing with issues of homelessness, politics and spousal abuse in typically sensitive fashion.

Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition of the British Pop/Ska outfit's sophomore album including bonus tracks. Originally released in 1980, Absolutely moved away from the band's Ska origins and embraced a style that mixed Reggae, '60s Pop, Music Hall and other genres together into a wholly unified sound. In other words, Absolutely was the first album that truly represented Madness' unique and timeless sound. Disc One includes the original album plus seven bonus audio tracks and three enhanced videos. Disc Two contains 15 tracks recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon. Digipak features original album artwork and 24 page color booklet including lyrics, photos and liner notes by journalist Paul Lester.
