Back To Earth was formed in 1985 and consists of two brothers: Thomas and Bruno Hasler. They were born in the Principality of Liechtenstein and live now close to Zurich in Switzerland. The two brothers have played music since their childhood. They recorded about 80 instrumental songs in their own studio before releasing their first CD in 1990. Back To Earth released many CD’s between 1990 and 2012 and received four gold and two platinum awards for their music.

At first, Lisa Ekdahl's squeaky, girlish voice may seem inappropriate for the pop standards she has chosen to make her trade, but given some time, her voice and laid-back style become endearing. True, she occasionally seems mannered and borrows heavily from her inspirations (most notably Billie Holiday), but she shows signs of developing her own style throughout her second American album, Back to Earth.
