Documentary

In the far North, at a time of year when it should be covered with ice, glaciers are melting and shedding chunks of ice that scatter across the ocean's surface. The animals inhabiting the land and water are threatened by warming temperatures. Climate change is fundamentally altering the natural environment of Greenland and affecting the lives of its wildlife and indigenous people. Greenlanders are facing the stark reality of a warming climate, and are trying to adapt. Until now, the Inuit people who were born in Greenland and know only their traditional life of hunting have never thought of a different place, a different life, or a different future. The sea, the ice, and the marine mammals here are everything to them. But now they must face the possibility of losing their ancient traditions, and their prey, along with the disappearing ice. They must find a way to cope.

Occupy: A People Yet to Come (Critical Climate Change) by Andrew Conio
English | Sep. 1, 2015 | ISBN: 1785420046 | 275 Pages | PDF | 6 MB

The term Occupy represents a belief in the transformation of the capitalist system through a new heterogenic world of protest and activism that cannot be conceived in terms of liberal democracy, parliamentary systems, class war or vanguard politics. These conceptualisations do not articulate where power is held, nor from where transformation may issue.

Capital at the Brink: Overcoming the Destructive Legacies of Neoliberalism (Critical Climate Change) by Jeffrey R. Di Leo
English | Dec. 10, 2014 | ISBN: 160785306X | 280 Pages | PDF | 2 MB

Capital at the Brink reveals the pervasiveness, destructiveness, and dominance of neoliberalism within American society and culture. The contributors to this collection also offer points of resistance to an ideology wherein, to borrow Henry Giroux’s comment, “everything either is for sale or is plundered for profit.”
