is the title shared by many comic book series published by DC Comics. The first of these was published as an ongoing series from 1955 to 1983 (Vol. 1). It was followed by mini-series in 1991 and in 1999 (Vol. 2) and was finally revived as an ongoing in 2007 (Vol. 3). Another delicately nuanced, multi-layered morality play that unites two extremely different characters as a means to shed new light on the nature and cost of heroism, just like the previous two efforts of crackerjack writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Jesus Saiz on this title--and it's one of those occasions when everything seems to fall right into place and make a perfect story. Yes, the creative team is that good; you could say this one may be due to serendipity but then considering the ascending quality of their output in the previous two issues, we now know this for certain. IGN gives this issue an "Incredible" 9.5 out of a possible 10 rating and an Editor's Choice Award to top its list of reviews for this week. This kind of praise is usually reserved for truly superlative stuff like the last and final issue of Warren Ellis' and for once, I heartily agree.
