Dark creatures fly through the air, vulcans spit lava across the land and from far away one can see smoke coming…
Imperium is a mexican metal band formed in 2008. Being inspired by epic, orchestral, theatrical music and many metal bands such as the Scandinavian metal bands, they decided to create their own music.“Victory’s Reign”, being their first EP released, was the key to create many opportunities such as their first formal gig called “Winter Metal Fest”(2008) at the Circo Volador Bar.Good reviews were given and several months after, they decided to enter the mexican “Wacken Metal Battle”, which was another good chance to show what Imperium is made of, also it would take them to support Amon Amarth’s show at Circo Volador. In 2010 they recorded their first album entitled “Winter’s Dawn” and goes on sale in August 2011. In may 2012 they recorded “Winter’s Dawn” video clip being at the moment in the process of edition.
Krenek’s Karl V is the kind of opera that can be appreciated on several different levels. (…) Remarkably, it’s the earliest large-scale opera to use the 12-note system, though Krenek triumphantly refutes the notion that adherence to this technique inhibits creativity and emotional power. The composer’s widow has claimed that this performance, recorded in connection with the Beethoven Festival in Bonn last year, is by far the finest she has ever heard. With wonderful singing from David Pittman-Jennings as Karl and superb commitment from conductor Marc Soustrot and his fine orchestra, there is little reason to disagree with this verdict.
Although best known from their days in Whitesnake, Bernie Marsden & Micky Moody prove here that good old fashioned blues/rock is far from dead. This album was a taster for their new studio album also being released on Talking Elephant. Here we see the band rocking the stage with classic Whitesnake numbers. Fronted by Johnny Lande Norwegian hard rock and heavy metal singer. Known for being the former vocalist of bands Ark, Beyond Twilight, Millenium, Vagabond, The Snakes, and most notably of power metal band Masterplan, as well as for his solo career as Jorn.
"Once Bitten…" is the first album of British-Norwegian Hard rock supergroup The Snakes, released in August 1998. The Snakes feature Jorn Lande on vocals, ex-Whitesnake members Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden on guitars, Sid Ringsby (Jorn / TNT) on bass and Willy Bendiksen (Jorn) on drums. Great CD produced by Ronni Le Tekro (TNT guitarist) and heavily recommended for fans of Whitesnake.
Jørn Lande is one of Norway's most accomplished vocalists in the power/progressive metal genres, having fronted many established acts like Beyond Twilight, Ark, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, and Mundanus Imperium. While he is currently working with Masterplan and his Allen/Lande projects, his most consistent output seems to be this solo career. "Spirit Black" is his 7th album since the turn of the century, and the man sounds as polished and professional as ever.
Florida death metal veterans MALEVOLENT CREATION will release their twelfth album, "Dead Man's Path", on September 18 via Century Media. The cover artwork for the CD was created by tattoo artist German Latorres and perfectly captures the evil vibe of the album. MALEVOLENT CREATION vocalist and founding member Bret Hoffmann previously stated about the band's new record deal: "It feels great to have the guys at Century Media believe in us and our new songs, and really want to stand behind them and the band, and push us forward to bigger things! I mean, I think we have always been a bit underrated (I hear that from a lot of fans too) and I really think with this signing, we have a great chance to boost this band up!!! It's also a pleasure to have drummer Justin DiPinto back in the fold! He brings the hungry aggressive quality this band has always had back to the forefront!"
