The Extra Practice Activities are designed so that teachers can assign different levels of activities on each unit to individual students according to their needs and abilities. Extra Practice worksheets provide more coverage of the unit content for students who will benefit from more activities to consolidate their learning. Revision worksheets provide a review of the unit content based on more challenging activity types, to reinforce what has already been learnt. Extension worksheets are more project-based and encourage students to take what they have learnt and apply it to broader areas.
We teamed author and teacher trainer, Mike Sayer, with award-winning graphic novelist, Julian Hanshaw, to create fun, comic-based communicative worksheets to complement the Real Life (d) sections of Life. For each level of Life, each unit folder contains 3 files: AW (artwork), SC (student cards), and TN (teacher's notes).
The Grammar Practice Worksheets for Life have been specially selected from Practical Grammar, a series of grammar books for students of English. Each level of Practical Grammar has 100 units. Each unit examines a particular area of grammar. The grammar is set in short, everyday conversations or texts, showing the language in natural situations. You can read about the form, meaning and use of the language on the first page, before practising it in a variety of activity types on the second page. We have selected units that cover the grammar taught in Life to provide extra self-study materials and practice activities to support your learning.
FOCUS is a five-level upper secondary course designed to align with the learning objectivesof the Global Scale of English and Common European Framework. Interactive speaking videos accompany most of the speaking lessons, making them more attractive and dynamic. The goal of these videos is to help students focus on and practise functional language in everyday situations.
FOCUS is a brand new course for upper-secondary schools that takes students from A2 up to C1 level and offers a thorough preparation to the school leaving exam. Video animations of grammar consist of a background story to provide context and a virtual teacher to how a structure is formed and applied. Key language and structures from the grammar lessons are used in context in the videos, showing students how they are used in real life situations.

It will motivate and engage them with thought provoking topics and information rich texts which will challenge their opinions and inspire them to think critically about the world they live in. It will prepare them for a life of learning with a clear focus on developing their skills and autonomous learning habits. It will give your students a deeper awareness of how language works, furnishing them with not just the meaning of vocabulary but also the rules that govern its use, allowing your students to use it with confidence.
