International superstar Michael Bolton has taken on another extraordinary challenge with Bolton Swings Sinatra. The collection finds him singing classics like “New York, New York,” “Night and Day,” “My Funny Valentine,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Girl From Ipanema” and “That’s Life,” and bringing in special guest Nicollette Sheridan for a duet on “The Second Time Around.” “For years I’ve kept a list of dream projects,” Bolton notes. “At the top of that list was an album of songs made famous by Frank Sinatra.” Supervising the arrangements and orchestrations down to the last note, he’s created an affectionate, dynamic tribute to some of the greatest recordings of the 20th century. The result will be a revelation even for longtime fans – passionate, playful, boisterous, intimate and everything in between; Bolton Swings Sinatra is a dazzling pairing of singer and material.

At two discs and 32 songs, 2002's The Essential Michael Bolton is by far the most comprehensive Michael Bolton collection ever assembled; at 17 tracks, the previous Bolton comp, 1995's Greatest Hits 1985-1995, was nearly half the size of this set. Longer isn't necessarily better, at least as far as the average Bolton fan is concerned, since every one of Bolton's biggest hits is on the 1995 collection. In the decade that followed the release of Greatest Hits, Michael Bolton was a fairly regular fixture on the Adult Contemporary charts but had only one hit that crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 — "Go the Distance" in 1997 — which means that there wasn't much from the late '90s and 2000s that crossed into the popular consciousness the way that "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," "How Can We Be Lovers," and "Said I Loved You…But I Lied" did. Anyone just wanting those hits, along with other '80s and early-'90s singles as "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" and "Soul Provider," would be better off with Greatest Hits, but listeners who want to dig a little deeper into that classic era and the years that followed are well-served by The Essential Michael Bolton, which covers both eras equally by serving up all the big hits (minus "Love Is a Wonderful Thing," which has been written out of Bolton's history) and selected album tracks

My Secret Passion: The Arias is an album by Michael Bolton. Accompaniment is by the Philharmonia Orchestra under the direction of Steven Mercurio. The album includes a duet with Renee Fleming. By the evidence of My Secret Passion, Michael Bolton's secret passion is opera. For several years, he had included arias in his concerts, but he had never recorded them until My Secret Passion. Bolton's bombastic style is relatively well-suited to arias, since he certainly can project his voice quite powerfully.

"The One Thing" is an album by Michael Bolton, released on November 16, 1993. Although this album contained the hit "Said I Loved You…But I Lied", which reached #6 in the U.S., it did not match the sales of his previous two albums and was an early sign of his faltering chart success after 1993. Nevertheless, the album was a respectable hit on its own going 3xPlatinum in the US only and selling approximately 6 million copies worldwide.
