Michael Learns to Rock (also known as MLTR) is a Danish pop/soft rock band that performs songs in English. Formed in 1988, the band has sold over 11 million records worldwide, mainly in Asia, and in addition, another 6 million or more paid downloads for their single "Take Me To Your Heart" which was awarded "most downloaded single of the year 2006". The band has recorded eight studio albums as well as a number of live and greatest hits albums. The band's eighth studio album, Scandinavia, was released in 2012.
Paint My Love – Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits album by the Danish soft rock band Michael Learns to Rock. It was released in October 1996 by Medley Records in Asia and South Africa. As of May 1999, the album had sold 3.4 million copies worldwide. The title song, "Paint My Love", is an English version of "Kun med dig" by Danish singers Dorthe Andersen and Martin Loft, which was composed by Jascha Richter. The song won the Danish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 1996, but was one of seven entries voted off in a pre-contest semifinal, which was not televised. "Paint My Love", along with the other new song "Breaking My Heart", was later included on the band's fourth studio album, Nothing to Lose (1997).
Just in case anyone of you is interested or curious to know, the original song of 'take me to your heart' is actually a mandarin song called 'wen bie' meaning, to kiss goodbye, sung by a Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung. No wonder it sounds familiar isn't it? The chinese people hv definitely heard it before. The original one was an instant hit 10 years back.
