In a sense, that tip of the tongue speculation is both one of the great draws and one of the drawbacks of Nad’s forthcoming long-player The Bride Said No. Obviously he’s coming in with a fair amount of Hackett-shaped baggage, but it’s difficult to completely shake the nagging feeling that he might at any time break into a medley of The Musical Box / Supper’s Ready or present a ready Ian Anderson cackle (coincidentally drummer Doane Perry is among those who serve). At one point he even makes a move on the middle ground occupied by the artists formerly known as Stiltskin.

Obviously, if that sounds like your bag, then you’re going to be high in hog heaven by the end of this satisfyingly 33 RPM record-sized collection of brash and blustering epics.

‘With both the Genesis Revisited tour and album I feel I've given people something they had really wanted for a long time’ says legendary guitarist Steve Hackett, and that certainly seemed to be the case when he released ‘Genesis Revisited II’ in October 2012. Met with a vociferous and fantastic response from fans and critics alike, it was clear that there was an appetite for these classic songs, with the album reaching the number 26 spot in the UK National Album Charts.

Agents Of Mercy - are back with a new full on studio album titled "DramaRama". In it's true retro-spirit it is rehearsed and recorded "live" in Varispeed Studios in Sweden, with very few overdubs. 12 songs written by guitarist Roine Stolt & singer Nad Sylvan - the concept was "to find the roots of our inspiration and the sounds we love" so there's the obvious late 60's and early 70's feel.

Musically, Agents Of Mercy falls under the song oriented symphonic progressive rock genre, which is very similar to Roine and Nad’s respected bands. They do have a unique identity. The uniqueness comes partially due to Nad’s vocals, as it takes a while to get used to. A brief description is a mix of classic Yes (Roine’s guitar playing) & mostly Lamb-era Genesis (Nad‘s vocals).

Sylvan Esso's sophomore album, What Now, is the sound of a band truly fulfilling the potential and promise of their debut. Everything has evolved - the production is bolder, the vocals are more intense, the melodies are more infectious, and the songs shine that much brighter. What Now is an album of the finest songs this band has ever written- produced masterfully, sang fearlessly- to articulate our collective undercurrents of anxiety and joy.
