Deluxe treatment for one of the most important works by Piero Piccioni, includes the complete film score plus the 1974 album version. Appassionata (1974) was a sexually-charged production starring Gabriele Ferzetti, Valentina Cortese, Ornella Muti and Elenora Giorgi. Chronicling the competition of two nubile girls who attempt to seduce the patriarch of a household, Gianluigi Calderone’s movie didn’t shy away from depicting such forbidden subjects as incest or the early sexual awakening of teenagers. This disturbing story was made more all the sensual by the lush underscore of Piero Piccioni.

The year 2015 started more than promising for fans of high class melodic metal: SERIOUS BLACK, a so-called “allstar band” appeared on the scene and dropped their highly acclaimed debut album ‘As Daylight Breaks’. Much to the surprise of many, the band indeed proved to be a real band and they kept their promise of rocking the stages wherever possible. So during only a year they not only successfully released a fantastic debut album, but also went on extensive European tours with HammerFall and later Gamma Ray. …
A new band - 6 members, 6 friends - all with huge experience and knowledge from many years in the business and being part of the most successful melodic metal bands: this is SERIOUS BLACK! The line-up consists of Roland Grapow (Masterplan, ex-Helloween), Thomen Stauch (ex-Blind Guardian), Mario Lochert (ex-Visions Of Atlantis), Dominik Sebastian (Edenbridge), Jan Vacik (ex-Dreamscape) and (last but not least) the golden voice of Urban Breed (ex-Tad Morose). SERIOUS BLACK is different to many of the so-called 'all star' bands, because in fact, they are a real band.
1985's "Scratch And Bite" is Swedish hard rock band Treat's debut album. While the album isn't "Dreamhunter (1987)" or "Pleasure Principle (1986)", it was a perfectly decent way to start Treat's career. "Scratch And Bite" was re-issued in 2008. The deluxe reissue features digitally remastered sound, a pair of bonus tracks (studio songs called "On the Outside" and "Danger Games") and comes housed in a digipak with a bonus DVD of the band's performance at the 2006 Live At Firefest III.
One of Italy's most prolific and creative composers, Turin-born Piero Piccioni released dozens of scores for many different types of films during his lifetime, and wrote hundred of songs, the most alluring and provocative of which are collected here on The Seduction of Piero Piccioni. Culling tracks from C'Era Una Volta, Fumo di Londra, Mr. Dante Fontana, and I Giovani Tigri, among others, Piccioni's music captures the warmth and innovation of Italian pop music of the time combined with the power to truly propel and define a particular scene. There are a lot of great, fun tracks here – "Easy Dreamer," "Una Colt in Mano al Diavolo," "Capriccio," "Mr. Dante Fontana," and "Richmond Bridge" to name a few – so for anyone interested either in Italian film or Italian music, or just film and music in general, The Seduction of Piero Piccioni is a must-have.
