Third album from one of the leaders in the current wave of old-school, timeless thrash metal. 10 original songs and a cover of Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In the Name."
Having spent much of the past two years orchestrating stadium-sized crowds to lose their marbles whilst touring the world as the lead support for The Prodigy and Pendulum, South Central are now back on home soil and readying themselves for the release of their much-anticipated LP Society Of The Spectacle . Having given the world it s first taster in October 2010 with their single Demons , the duo now present The Day I Die , the lead single from the forthcoming album and another indication that this is an act destined for big things.
The mere fact Hawkwind still exists well into the 21st century is a remarkable thing. And it's little short of miraculous that Dave Brock is still leading the space rock pioneers in the year 2016, with Brock poised to celebrate his 75th birthday. So how much more surprising is it that Hawkwind released a new studio album that year, an hour-long sci-fi concept effort based on a story by E.M. Forster? The Machine Stops imagines a future world where people live beneath the surface of the ruined Earth, where the all-powerful Machine satisfies all their needs. But Kuno is a restless man who has decided to escape to the surface and see what the natural world is really like.
Original Album Classics contains five albums by Cypress Hill: Cypress Hill (1991), Black Sunday (1993), Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom (1995), Cypress Hill IV (1998), and Stoned Raiders (2001). That's the group's first four albums, plus its sixth – 2000's Skull & Bones was presumably left out because it's a two-disc album. For most casual fans, 2005's Greatest Hits from the Bong will be adequate, but this is a rather affordable way to obtain a major chunk of the group's catalog. The discs are presented as they were originally released, within standard jewel cases that slide inside a basic cardboard sleeve.
