The album Monster was originally titled My Turn. I had this idea that the album was going to be about the trials and tribulations of every day American blue-collar struggle. Could the American Dream still be achieved though grit and determination? Could hard work and passion really pay off? Then reality TV came knocking on the door, I opened it, and the idea of Monster came walking through. I wrote new songs and worked to create a more clear and powerful message. A message of hope, a message of rejoicing in our inadequacies. The idea now was to make an album that could help lift people up, inspire them to keep going, to keep perusing their dreams and that they are not alone. Not just shining a light on struggle, but the idea that there is power in being yourself.

Sarah P.’s solo debut full-length “Who Am I” will be released. A pop record that is different, an ode to the humanly deep need of security and love and a piece of art that reads pages from Sarah P.’s diaries. It’s an album about fears, hopes, memories, dreams - and love. Inspired by Berlin, her Greek roots & personal struggles, Sarah asks “Who Am I? Who are we?” “Our ethics, our cultures are shaping us, but what we become is completely our choice. I’ve been constantly asking myself “who am I”. Have you?”, asks Sarah in her latest article. Although the album is inspired by her struggles and personal fights, the humor and positivity are not missing - Sarah’s sarcasm is omnipresent, so is her passion for a better change that we all can bring once we decide to do so. It’s the realization that we have to start by asking ourselves who we are, who we want to be, and what we stand for.

Monster TV Rap Hits is a 1989 compilation album exploring the hip-hop music of the moment. Tommy Boy Records couldn't afford to call this a product of MTV or YO! MTV Raps so they were forced to call it Monster TV Rap Hits and design the graphics so it would hopefully motivate people to think it was an MTV thing without being allowed to call it that.

How did nobody think to go here before? With a glut of fine Joni Mitchell tributes on the market and a couple of engrossing Laura Nyro nods out there, how is it that no creative spirits in the jazz or cabaret camps thought to make the full-on jump to Janis Ian before now? Hearing Sarah Partridge dig into Ian's body of work makes this concept seem like a no-brainer an incredibly natural fit, in fact but that may very well have more to do with Partridge's vision and interpretive brilliance than it does with the material penned by the honoree.

Christian Savill and Sean Hewson have been in bands together since the late '80s. In 1989, one of these bands, Eternal, released a single on Sarah Records called Breathe that featured the dreamy, fuzzed out guitars soaring over pop melodies that Christian brings to any project he is a part of. Sean was missing for that but returned for a shambolic gig supporting Slowdive and Chapterhouse in Reading. Shortly afterwards, and with some justification, Christian left to join Slowdive.

Keep The Voices Distant is Monster Movie's fifth album and their first record since 2010's Everyone Is a Ghost. It was recorded with Martin Nichols at White House Recording Studios in Weston-super-Mare and produced by Ryan Graveface. As with all Monster Movie releases it is a combination of Christian and Sean's song-writing, playing, arrangements, general grumpiness and chaotic, personal lives. This time, however, with James, Nick and Ryan in the studio with them, the songs have really been allowed to really take off.
