Space Debris hail from the Odenwald region in Germany. The members' main concern is to play improvised music reminiscent to 70s krautrock and psychedelic bands. The group started as a trio comprised of Tommy Gorny (guitar), Tom Kunkel (Hammond organ) and Christian Jäger (drums). Supported by many friends having guest appearances they already could produce six albums starting with the year 2002. Their first one was the self-released double LP 'Krautrocksessions 1994-2001' consisting of early impressions mainly deriving from 1998/99 recordings. The Hammond is the main reason for a wide range of styles given within their explorations, also including bluesy and jazzy themes as well as heavy prog…
A mind-bending sci-fi symphony, Stanley Kubrick's landmark 1968 epic pushed the limits of narrative and special effects toward a meditation on technology and humanity. Based on Arthur C. Clarke's story The Sentinel, Kubrick and Clarke's screenplay is structured in four movements. At the "Dawn of Man," a group of hominids encounters a mysterious black monolith alien to their surroundings. To the strains of Strauss's 1896 Also sprach Zarathustra, a hominid invents the first weapon, using a bone to kill prey. As the hominid tosses the bone in the air, Kubrick cuts to a 21st century spacecraft hovering over the Earth, skipping ahead millions of years in technological development. U.S. scientist Dr. Heywood Floyd (William Sylvester) travels to the moon to check out the discovery of a strange object on the moon's surface: a black monolith. As the sun's rays strike the stone, however, it emits a piercing, deafening sound that fills the investigators' headphones and stops them in their path.
Emmanuelle in Space was an American erotic science fiction television series produced for both cable and syndication in 1994. It is loosely based upon the character Emmanuelle created by Emmanuelle Arsan in the 1960s and featured in dozens of softcore films over the years.
The series starred Krista Allen as Emmanuelle, a hedonistic young woman who finds herself teaching the ways of sexuality to a group of aliens who land on Earth, and Paul Michael Robinson.
This four part series explores the challenges and opportunities of modern space exploration. NASA is sizing up a new but familiar challenge: how to transport humans into deep space. After 30 years spent circling the Earth, NASA is building spacecraft to take astronauts beyond the Moon to an asteroid and eventually Mars. From rocket testers in Mississippi, to capsule builders in Florida, this is the story of the spacecraft and the technicians aiming to follow in the footsteps of their Apollo ancestors.
