Caught in the Game is the fourth album by American rock band Survivor, released in September 1983. It features guest appearances by Mr. Mister's Richard Page and REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin. It is the band's last album to-date to feature lead vocalist Dave Bickler, who left due to vocal surgery; despite the fact that he rejoined the band between 1993 and 2000, and again in 2013…

By 1975, Grand Funk Railroad had reached a new level of fame and fortune thanks to pop-friendly albums like We're an American Band and Shinin' On. However, they had not dropped the turbo-charged rock & roll that built their early success and that fact is proven by this exciting double-live album. Caught in the Act covers all the highlights of their catalog up to that point, including both the major hits and a generous sampling of album-track favorites.

Upon leaving UK, before reaching Asia, journeyman John Wetton released his first solo album, Caught in the Crossfire. Although a vocal doppelgänger of Greg Lake, as a songwriter Wetton was always more of a team player, so there was no occasion in Wetton's past work where you could say, "Aha, this is what he'd sound like on his own." And he is largely on his own here, handling vocals, bass, keyboards, and even guitar while writing all of the material (though Peter Sinfield does chip in on "Get What You Want"). The result is surprisingly good; Wetton is clearly more comfortable writing songs on the bass, but he fleshes them out nicely with keyboards, supported by Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke…

Styx was at the height of its success in the early 1980s, with their '81 concept album PARADISE THEATRE transforming the band into huge arena rockers. So in 1983 they decided to test out a different format, … Full Descriptionproducing this full-length concert film, which was shot during their Kilroy Was Here tour. The show is highly conceptual, and is based around a dystopian future society that isn't allowed access to rock music. Among the hits included are "Too Much Time On My Hands," "Come Sail Away," and "Mr. Roboto."

'Caught In The Light' is a very keyboard based album, giving the music a light, airy and dare I say 'cosmic' feel to the entire affair much like the Rodney Matthews art that graces the cover. In keeping with the BJH tradition you will not find songs about sex, fast cars and faster women, but more themes based on relationships as on 'The Great Unknown' and 'Silver Wings' to current events important at the time the album was recorded with 'Cold War' to history with 'Copii Romania' and 'Forever Yesterday'. Musical references can be drawn to Alan Parsons Project, Keats and late period Al Stewart, but really Barclay James Harvest had a sound all their own creating sound pictures for the mind and food for the soul.
