The Soft Hearted Scientists have been hidden away in their secret laboratory with bottles of ginger beer, jelly babies and re-runs of 'The Prisoner'. Quiet bunch, the Scientists. Apart from the odd rant on Facebook they keep themselves to themselves until there is something to say. Clocking in at just over an hour, 'Omens' is a sprawling two CD set of compositions divided into four parts. What a trip this is, enhancing their growing reputation as an inventive and leftfield nu-pyschedelic band. With 'Golden Omens', the Scientists continue to demonstrate an amazing ability to offer insightful and witty social observation encased in moments of true beauty.

This 5- disc set came about as a result of the band's entire 90's studio back catalog going out of print. Bandleader and keyboardist Erik Norlander decided the best way to reissue those albums would be to remaster all 3 of the albums (their 1993 debut, EARTHBOUND; their 1995 sophomore effort, BRUTAL ARCHITECTURE; and their third album, 1999's OBLIVION DAYS), add on a disc of rerecordings from 2007, AND a DVD of candid studio footage dating from 1993-2007, an interview with Stick genius Emmett Chapman, and the 2007 Sessions plus interview segments all shot by HD film crews…

October 2015 finds Motorpsycho the focus of a retrospective exhibition at the Norwegian National Museum of Rock (Rockheim), located in the bands hometown Trondheim. In conjunction with this major look back at more than 25 years of Motorpsychodelia, time is ripe for the first ever Motorpsychodelic anthology, and the band have themselves curated the Supersonic Scientists - A Young Person’s Guide To Motorpsycho 2CD and 2LP editions. Releasing their first ever anthology after 25 very productive years is asking for trouble. There must surely be as many possible track selections as there are fans and we guess the discussions will be many.

For its third outing, Latin Quarter served up more surprises for its fans. Trimmed down to a quartet (half the band it used to be?), the band was more musically focused on this album than ever before. Choosing to keep the world rhythms to a minimum, the album's backbeat was clearly lush acoustic pop with a few touches added for flourish and flavor. Without completely altering their approach, the bandmembers were able to simplify their sound without giving up their identity. In doing so, they finally created what could be considered the "Latin Quarter" sound. Steve Skaith (vocals and guitar) served up some his best melodies to date, while lyricist Mike Jones proved to be as thought-provoking as ever,,,

The Golden Age of Wireless is the debut album by Thomas Dolby. Released in 1982, the album contains the pop hit "She Blinded Me with Science" in its later resequencings. Following the album's overall theme of radio are the songs "Airwaves", "Commercial Breakup", and "Radio Silence," along with songs about the modern world ("Windpower", "Flying North", "Europa and the Pirate Twins"). At the time of the original US release, the moody and cinematic tone—a major departure for most synthesizer-driven records—prompted Musician magazine's reviewer to declare it "The best damned synth-pop record ever, period." This version includes the original UK album tracks, in sequence, as tracks 1-9. Bonus tracks 10-14 were previously included on various re-issues during 1982/83/84. Tracks 16-19 are previously unreleased demo recordings. Also included with this release is a DVD containing a remastered version of the long-form performance video Live Wireless, recorded at the Riverside Theatre Studios, London. "Urban Tribal" also features a new accompanying vocal by Harper Robertson.
