The Northern California singer/songwriter/guitarist delivers one of his finest albums with "The World Over." Jeff Larson's earnest vocals and unwaveringly engaging folk-rock-country songs have an alluring, early Eagles feel. Appropriately, among those contributing stirring harmonies is Jeddrah Schmit, daughter of Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit. Also complementing Larson's voice are the duo of Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (America) and Jeffrey Foskett (Brian Wilson Band). Larson's warm, wonderful songs will grab you immediately and just get better with each subsequent listening. Every one of the 10 numbers here proves to be an individual gem…

The Long Run is the sixth studio album by the American rock group the Eagles. It was released in 1979, on Asylum in the United States and in the United Kingdom. This was the first Eagles album not to feature their founding member, Randy Meisner who was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit. When released in September 1979, The Long Run debuted at #2 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart and a week later hit #1 dethroning Led Zeppelin's In Through the Out Door. It was their last #1 album of the 1970s, and reigned for eight weeks in the #1 slot. The Long Run has sold more than seven million copies to date in the U.S. (it was certified Gold and Platinum in early 1980 by the R.I.A.A.).

Image Entertainment and Geffen Records jointly released the documentary Hell Freezes Over, built around the Eagles' reunion tour, with DTS sound encoding available. Even the early sections, depicting the participating members (which doesn't include co-founder Randy Meisner or Bernie Leadon) reflecting on the decision to reunite for the national tour, are interesting for the song fragments that you get in rehearsal, as well as the short interviews with Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit – a few fan comments and you're suddenly immersed in the group's mostly acoustic rock treatment of "Hotel California," which includes a great acoustic guitar break by Walsh.
