For Boogie Chillen', Audio Fidelity went back to the original 1948-1954 recording session tapes of these "Detroit Blues Masterpieces" for the SACD edition. The only exception will be the title track since recording tape was not in use in 1948 at the United Sound recording studio in Detroit when it was recorded. In that case, "Boogie Chillen'" was transferred from the surviving 78 RPM acetate record. The SACD compilation and remastering work for the album was done by Steve Hoffman at Kevin Gray's AcousTech Mastering Studio with Lon Neumann serving as the DSD Technician on the remastering session.

This recording features 2 musical giants, the late Ray Brown & the late Gene Harris. Ray Brown leaves us in no doubt why he was always regarded as the jazz world’s No.1 bass player. Gene Harris demonstrates his ability to bring the ‘blues’ feel that is the very essence of jazz, to his performance of any tune on the album. Groove Note Records owner Ying Tan produced the SACD edition of the album with the SACD mastering credits going to David Glasser at Airshow Mastering in Boulder, Colorado.

Albert King with Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Session (1999) [Reissue 2003]

or FLAC(converted with foobar2000 to tracks) 24bit/88,2 kHz | Scans included | 1,33 GB

Recorded in December 1983, In Session captures an in-concert jam between Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, the latter of whom had become the hot blues guitarist of the year thanks to his debut Texas Flood, as well as his work on David Bowie's hit Let's Dance. Vaughan may have been the new news, but King was not suffering, either. He had a world-class supporting band and was playing as well as he ever had. In other words, the stage was set for a fiery, exciting concert and that's exactly what they delivered. Vaughan was clearly influenced by King – there are King licks all over his first two recorded efforts, and it was an influence that stayed with him to the end – and he was unafraid to go toe-to-toe with his idol. King must have been impressed, since In Session never devolves into a mere cutting contest. Instead, each musicians spurs the other to greater heights. For aficionados of either guitarist, that means the album isn't just worth a listen – it means that it's a record that sounds as exciting on each subsequent listen as does the first time through.
Yo-Yo Ma - Soul Of The Tango: The Music of Astor Piazzolla (1997) [Japanese Reissue 2003] PS3 ISO+FLAC {RE-UP}

Yo-Yo Ma - Soul Of The Tango: The Music of Astor Piazzolla (1997) [Japanese Reissue 2003]
PS3 Rip | SACD ISO | DSD64 2.0 > 1-bit/2.8224 MHz | 63:41 minutes | Scans included | 2 GB
or FLAC(converted with foobar2000 to tracks) 24bit/88,2 kHz | Full Scans included | 1,21 GB

Yo-Yo Ma might seem like an unlikely protagonist for the tango, but this intrepid musical explorer has taken his task seriously, collaborating with experienced tango musicians. Ma even participates in a posthumous collaboration with one 1987 Piazzolla recording. Furthermore, while he's obviously the headliner here, he doesn't dominate the arrangements nearly as much as he does the billing and photography of the disc. While the result isn't your essential Piazzolla album (that would have to include more of the composer's own playing), it's an atmospheric and convincing collection, perhaps a good introduction for those who don't know the music.
