DKV trio's concert in the course of 2012 Autumn Jazz Festival was a night to remember for many reasons. The trio played up to the promise and delivered. The concert itself, a result of a decade - long logistical struggle to bring together the three at one place and time, was also the release date campaign to a 7cds boxset called "Past Present" that would gather a several of the famed DKV performances done near the end / beginning of each year in Chicago and Milwaukee.
Rare deluxe compilation that sounds and looks in all ways amazing. Some great picks on here in Miles' own Deception, Gerry Mulligan's Jeru or Baden Powell's Budo for starters. Lovely audophile piece in lovely taste.
Secret Cinema is a group of young musicians, created by Beppe Crovella, to perform two long suites, 'In the Autumn of my Dreams' and 'Through the Windows of Time', composed by himself. These suites are art-prog, symphonically oriented compositions, with rich group orchestrations at times emulating string orchestra parts, featuring highly expressive vocals by the talented Agnese Cacciola. Beppe Crovella's full range of Vintage keyboards are fully featured on this project, often in a guitar/keyboard context (in this sense, close to Yes-like colours, in the arrangements , to give an approximate idea), always in a personal way, opening space in the suite for large 'string orchestra' parts, with intense, romantic, touching vocals by Agnese Cacciola…

Best known as the frontman for early-'70s hitmakers Christie, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jeff Christie's career long predated that band. In fact, his earlier group, Outer Limits, should have been just as big, if not bigger than Christie themselves. Formed in the dying days of 1963, the band released three singles, gigged incessantly, and took part in the legendary package tour featuring Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, and Amen Corner. Yet they never managed to land a hit or record an album. However the Outer Limits did leave behind a slew of demos before folding in 1968, 22 of which features on the first disc of this two-CD set.
