Coming off an intense and emotionally rough period that surrounded the recording and release of 2013's No Morphine No Lilies, drummer Allison Miller's Boom Tic Boom is in upbeat, adventurous form on 2016's Otis Was a Polar Bear. Which isn't to say that she and her bandmates weren't game for adventure on No Morphine No Lilies. On the contrary, the group found its footing on that album born out of a tumultuous year that included Miller taking care of her sick girlfriend, two of her bandmates having babies, and Miller drawing attention, some unfairly negative, for a Huffington Post article she wrote about being a lesbian feminist in the jazz world.

A moving and raw vocal sound with piano acoustic and some full instrumentation. While the production quality is a plus, it is not overdone. She recorded a five-song demo in 2003 titled “Reflections” with more of a gospel sound. This was followed by a self-titled CD in 2008 showcasing a jazzy-pop sound. In 2014, her Christmas CD entitled “A Simple Christmas” got back to basics and allowed the dynamic range of her voice to carry the emotion and nostalgia of Christmas.

Singer/songwriter Tor Miller is a passionate vocalist with a knack for writing lyrical, literate songs. A native of Brooklyn, Miller first became interested in music at age 12, when, after his parents separated, he moved with his mother to a small town in New Jersey. For a year, he carpooled with his mom two hours to and from school in Brooklyn. It was during these trips that Miller's mother introduced him to the music of Elton John, David Bowie, Billy Joel, and other '70s and '80s artists. Inspired, Miller began taking piano lessons and eventually began honing his craft while attending New York University's Clive Davis School of Music. By age 19, Miller was studying during the day and performing at night, gaining early exposure at various New York City clubs. After leaving NYU, Miller caught the ear of music executive Daniel Glass (Phoenix, Mumford & Sons, the Temper Trap), who signed him to his Glassnote Records label. In 2015, Miller released his debut EP, Headlights. “American English” is the full length debut album by American indie pop artist Tor Miller.

The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California. The band is managed by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals, and is best known today for a string of (mainly) mid-1970s hit singles that are staples of classic rock radio, as well as several earlier acid rock albums. Steve Miller left his first band to move to San Francisco and form the Steve Miller Blues Band. Shortly after Harvey Kornspan negotiated the band’s landmark contract with Capitol Records in 1967, the band shortened its name to 'Steve Miller Band'. In February 1968, the band recorded its debut album Children of the Future. They went on to produce albums Sailor, Brave New World, Your Saving Grace, Number 5, Rock Love and more. The Steve Miller Band’s Greatest Hits 1974-1978, released in 1978, sold over 13 million copies. They continued to produce more albums and in 2014, Steve Miller Band is touring with the rock band Journey.

Sin City, also known as Frank Miller's Sin City, is a 2005 crime thriller film written, produced and directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez. It is a neo-noir based on Miller's graphic novel series of the same name. The film is primarily based on three of Miller's works: The Hard Goodbye, about a man who embarks on a brutal rampage in search of his one-time sweetheart's killer; The Big Fat Kill, which focuses on a street war between a group of prostitutes and a group of mercenaries; and That Yellow Bastard, which follows an aging police officer who protects a young woman from a grotesquely disfigured serial killer.

300 is a graphic novel, written and illustrated by Frank Miller with painted colors by Lynn Varley. It depicts the Battle of Thermopylae and the events leading up to it from the perspective of Leonidas, king of Sparta. The comic was particularly inspired by the 1962 film, The 300 Spartans, a movie that Miller watched as a young boy.

Every page of the comic was illustrated as a double-page spread. When the series was gathered into hardcover form, the individual pages were twice as wide as a normal comic. Miller's art style for this project was similar to his Sin City work, although the addition of color is an obvious difference.

Soon we can see 300 in live action movie.
