Pink Floyd played two shows in Montreux in November (21/22) 1970. Both concerts were recorded by EMI and selections of the two were released on promotion acetates. Tarantura’s Atom Hearted Montreux comes from one of the acetates made and has seen several earlier releases. Montreux Casino 1970 on The Swinging Pig (TSP-CD-257-2) was released in 1989 and contains the seven songs on the acetate from the November 21st plus three songs from their Montreux 1971 show.

Despite having a picture of the barret era band on the cover this recording actually comes from a promotion white label release that was put out by the band in 1970. This means the sound is exellent although it does contain a few flaws(bass distortion at the start of the Embyro and a PA problem for a second or so during Cymbaline). It has also been released on the cd set "montruex casino" that also included an average audience recordings of the next night and some common BBC material. There are a number of rarties playing during this september 1970 concert from switerland that combined with its exellent sound quality make this one of the best recordings for floyd fans to startcollecting unoffical recordings.

Animals is the tenth studio album by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on 23 January 1977 by Harvest Records in the United Kingdom and by Columbia Records in the United States. It is a concept album that provides a scathing critique of the social-political conditions of late-70s Britain, and presents a marked change in musical style from their earlier work.

Relics is an early Pink Floyd compilation album, originally released in mid-1971. Despite being the second in a total of six Pink Floyd compilations, Relics is highly-regarded among Floyd fans, who remember it nostalgically as the only compilation for many years (and, arguably, still) to properly highlight Pink Floyd's early strengths. Relics takes a fairly democratic approach to Pink Floyd's earliest releases, featuring ten tracks from the band's first five singles and first three albums, as well as one previously unreleased track.
