The Human League - Greatest Hits

Human League Greatest Hits is a compilation album released by British synthpop band The Human League. It was released by Virgin Records in 1988 and contained 13 singles released by the band, spanning from their debut single (1978's "Being Boiled") to their most recent album at the time (Crash, 1986) plus Philip Oakey's collaboration with Giorgio Moroder "Together In Electric Dreams". The album reached no.3 in the UK. In November 1995, to cash in on the band's renewed success at that time, Virgin repackaged the hits collection with a new cover and added newer tracks: "Tell Me When" (from the Octopus album) and a new remix of the band's biggest hit "Don't You Want Me" by German-American electronic music group Snap!. In addition to this, a brand new track, "Stay with Me Tonight", was included which the band had recorded under their new recording contract with EastWest Records. This would later be released as a single.
Marine Mammal Welfare: Human Induced Change in the Marine Environment and its Impacts on Marine Mammal Welfare (Repost)

Marine Mammal Welfare: Human Induced Change in the Marine Environment and its Impacts on Marine Mammal Welfare By Andy Butterworth
English | PDF | 2017 | 625 Pages | ISBN : 3319469932 | 35.3 MB

Marine mammals attract human interest – sometimes this interest is benign or positive – whale watching, conservation programmes for whales, seals, otters, and efforts to clear beaches of marine debris are seen as proactive steps to support these animals. However, there are many forces operating to affect adversely the lives of whales, seals, manatees, otters and polar bears – and this book explores how the welfare of marine mammals has been affected and how they have adapted, moved, responded and sometimes suffered as a result of the changing marine and human world around them.

English | PDF | 2017 | 244 Pages | ISBN : 3319565753 | 3.2 MB

This book explores what science fiction can tell us about the human condition in a technological world, with the ethical dilemmas and consequences that this entails. This book is the result of the joint efforts of scholars and scientists from various disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach sets an example for those who, like us, have been busy assessing the ways in which fictional attempts to fathom the possibilities of science and technology speak to central concerns about what it means to be human in a contemporary world of technology and which ethical dilemmas it brings along.
