This 53-CD set is more than the sum of its parts. While not all the performances and recordings are top-notch, the overall quality is very high and as a historical overview of a label known for its sonic as well as musical merits, it's full of treasures. The Mercury sound at its best is vivid and still sounds remarkable and many of these recordings - such as the marches, show tunes and orchestral showpieces conducted by Frederic Fennell - demonstrate this amply. But it's not all lollipops by any means.
Stage presence—the ability to connect powerfully and authentically with an audience—is something we often associate with performers. Great actors, musicians, and public speakers all seem to have it. But this same capacity is something we all need and use in many areas of life, both professional and personal.
Whether it's approach anxiety, 'let's just be friends', dull/unrewarding dates, lot's of friction/drama in your relationships…wherever you're blocked, there's something going on for you that you're not fully aware of…yet… And these 'internal shifts' are the key piece here…oftentimes they are so basic, they're initially mysterious to men I've worked with over the years (including myself, not that many years ago!).
