Synth-pop band Propaganda was formed in Germany by vocalist Claudia Brücken and drummer Michael Mertens plus keyboard players Susanne Freytag and Ralf Dorper. The quartet moved to England in 1983 and signed to ZTT Records, also the home of Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Art of Noise. Propaganda's first single, "Dr. Mabuse," reached the British Top 30 in early 1984, but the band's second release was more than a year in coming. Finally, in May 1985, "Duel" trumped the debut single by hitting number 21.

Former Genesis (1996-1998) and Stiltskin singer Ray Wilson is an unpredictable artist you never know what to expect from, his previous albums has been everything from singer/songwriter rock to progrock and folkrock to classic hardrock. On this solo album "Propaganda Man", Ray gives us 11 songs in the vein of David Gilmour and Camel, this man has a voice that can lift any song and some of the songs could even be featured on a 70´s Pink Floyd album.

'Propaganda' is a classic rock album, complete with hard hitting guitars, thumping bass, pounding drums and manic falsetto-style vocals. There is an energy and forcefulness to the songs that Sparks have never quite managed to replicate since. The album was a Top 10 hit in the UK.

UK three CD collection. This release charts the birth of synthesized pop music in the 1980s and ultimately the roots of contemporary electronic dance music. The importance and continued popularity of '80s pop is not to be underestimated, and the emergence of serious synthesized music producers in Kraftwerk, the Human League, Heaven 17, OMD, Yazoo, Ultravox, Talk Talk, Japan, Devo, Sparks, Gary Numan, New Order and the Pet Shop Boys, all of whom massively pushed the boundaries in experimenting with (mainly) Roland synths in this era, ultimately showed the way for the House and Techno producers of the '90s to the present day. Within this more serious side there was also some brilliant, pure Synthpop from the Thompson Twins, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Thomas Dolby, Simple Minds, Propaganda, Erasure, China Crisis, Belouis Some, the Lotus Eaters, a Flock of Seagulls, Howard Jones, Blancmange and the Associates.

So80's (So Eighties) is a triple-disc set of classic new wave and '80s hits selected by the German DJs Blank & Jones. The pair offer a non-stop mix of hits on the first disc while the other two discs round up original extended 12" mixes of the hits. Those looking for a thumping nonstop party will prefer the former, while those that grew up hunting down 12"s in record stores will prefer the latter pair of discs.

Relationship of Command is the third studio album by the post-hardcore band At the Drive-In, and was released in September 2000. The band reached mainstream success through the album, if only for a short time before their break-up in 2001. The album combines an aggressive hardcore edge with a melodic drive, harmonious and emotive vocals, and surreal lyrics. While the album continues in the alternative style of At the Drive-In's previous albums, Relationship of Command is seen as a more well-rounded album than its predecessors. Initially received positively by critics, the album is now seen not only as one of the most influential post-hardcore albums of the decade but also as one of the most accomplished recent works in the wider rock spectrum. Relationship of Command was voted 12th out of 100 in the Albums of the Decade by NME, and the 37th most influential album of all time by Kerrang!
