Nick Cave is an artist who has never shied away from exploring the darker side of the human experience, often in broadly gothic strokes on his early albums but with a growing degree of nuance and compassion as Cave and his work matured. But a very real and deeply painful tragedy was visited on Cave while he was working on his 16th solo album, Skeleton Tree. His 15-year-old son Arthur Cave died when he fell from a cliff in July 2015, and while the writing and recording was already underway when the youngster suffered his accident, the grief and pain of loss Cave felt is palpable throughout this album. Skeleton Tree is relatively modest in scale – it runs just 40 minutes, the cover artwork is minimal, and the music lacks the dramatic, grand-scale arrangements of Cave's albums of the 21st century…
Fusion Orchestra came from London, formed in 1969 by three friends, guitarists Colin Dawson and Stan Land along with drummer Dave Bell.First rehearsals were carried out with session bassist Dave Wheeler, before Mick Sluman became their regular bassist.Several gigs at colleges and festivals later Sluman would leave his place to Dave Cowell in 1971, while they would recruit in a surprising move teenage female singer Jill Saward, who would bring along her talents on keyboards and flute. They signed a contract with the small Mother Records label, but no seeing their sound transformed into a studio album, they opt out and found a home on EMI Records.By the time they had become a live beast, playing at well-known clubs and having built a strong fame in the Greater London area.In November 1973 Fusion Orchestra's debut would be released under the title ''Skeleton in armour''.

This CD was digitally mixed and edited at Dat Studios by Solar Quest using only the sun as a power source. The original sessions for the five Solar Quest tracks (previously unreleased) on this CD were also recorded using solar power. Deep Green worked closely with the visionary American painter Alex Grey and the jacket from this CD features a detail from his celebrated painting ‘Praying’, which is also the cover of Greys acclaimed book ‘Sacred Mirrors’.
