The three-disc box set Singles Collection: The London Years contains every single Rolling Stones singles released during the '60s, including both the A- and B-sides. It is the first Stones compilation that tries to be comprehensive and logical – for all their attributes, the two Hot Rocks sets and the two Big Hits collections didn't present the singles in chronological order. In essence, the previous compilations were excellent samplers, where Singles Collection tells most of the story (certain albums, like Aftermath, Beggars Banquet, and Let It Bleed, fill in the gaps left by the singles). The Rolling Stones made genuine albums – even their early R&B/blues albums were impeccably paced – but their singles had a power all their own, which is quite clearly illustrated by the Singles Collection.

Stupendous 2007 two CD reissue of this collection from the greatest Rock 'N' Roll band in the world. Expanded from it's original 1975 tracklisting, Rolled Gold gathers together 40 of Mick, Keef and Co.'s best ABKCO recordings beginning with their cover of Chuck Berry's 'Come On' and ending with the acoustic majesty of 'Wild Horses'. In between, you'll find some of Rock's finest musical moments including 'Let's Spend The Night Together', 'Sympathy For The Devil', 'Gimme Shelter', 'Time Is On My Side', 'Honkey Tonk Women', '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' and many more. Rock music has had many peaks and valleys, but the Stones have continued to roll for over four decades and their reputation is based on each and every one of these recordings. UMTV.

Sympathy for the Devil was made at a time when The Rolling Stones were at the peak of their creative powers and Jean-Luc Godard, who after making some of the great French New Wave cinema had taken a revolutionary political direction with his filmmaking. Possessing Godard's idiosyncratic style it can be viewed as two movies in one. In the first, rock and roll superstars The Rolling Stones create their latest song 'Sympathy for the Devil' in a London studio as they compose material for their forthcoming 'Beggar's Banquet' album. In the second, a series of abstract fictional vignettes, Godard probes topics as diverse as race, pornography and the irony of interviewing celebrities, which features a unique demonstration by Black Power revolutionaries and a TV interview with one Eve Democracy about the relationship between culture and revolution….
